FAQ
Questions, answered honestly
Everything you might want to know — no fine print.
Our AI provides a calorie estimate along with a visible confidence score for every scan — so you always know how certain the estimate is. When a meal is complex or unclear, the confidence score reflects that, and you can adjust the numbers yourself. Corrections you make help the AI improve on future scans of the same meal, so accuracy gets better the more you use it.
The confidence score is our honesty metric. A 95% score means the AI is highly certain; a 68% score means there's genuine uncertainty — usually with mixed dishes, restaurant meals, or unusual portions. Instead of presenting every estimate as a fact, we show you the uncertainty so you can decide whether to trust it or fine-tune it.
Never. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or food logs with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Your nutrition data stays yours. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy, and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.
It's genuinely free, forever — not a trial. The free tier includes unlimited manual logging, barcode scanning, custom macro targets, and full nutrition history with no daily entry cap. It may show small, unobtrusive ads to stay free; Plus is completely ad-free. It does not expire and does not convert to a paid plan. You only pay if you choose to upgrade to Plus for AI photo scanning and a few advanced features.
Free gives you unlimited manual logging, barcode scanning, custom macros, and nutrition history at no cost. Plus adds AI photo-to-calorie scanning, restaurant menu AI, Apple Health / Samsung Health sync, and priority support. Plus is optional — if you're happy logging manually or scanning barcodes, the free tier is a complete calorie tracker on its own.
No. Both the free and Plus tiers have unlimited daily entries. You can log as many meals, snacks, and drinks as you like — there's no cap, no quota, and no nudge to upgrade when you log a lot.
Manual logging and barcode scanning work offline. AI photo scanning requires an internet connection to send the image for analysis. Your data syncs automatically once you're back online.
TrueTrack AI is available on iOS and Android. We also sync with Apple Health and Samsung Health (Plus tier), so your nutrition data flows into the health ecosystem you already use.
Yes. You can export your full nutrition history as a CSV or PDF at any time, free of charge. Plus users also get a formatted doctor or dietitian export designed to share with a healthcare provider.
Yes. TrueTrack AI supports tracking for a range of GLP-1 and GIP medications — injectable, oral, and compounded — with custom dosing schedules, injection site rotation, and side-effect logging. Learn more on our GLP-1 Medication Support page.
Absolutely. You can cancel anytime from within the app or through your app store's subscription settings. There are no cancellation fees and no hidden charges. You keep Plus access until the end of your current billing period, then automatically revert to the free tier — which remains a fully functional tracker.
Payments are processed securely through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which handle your payment details — we never see or store your full card number. Your subscription is managed entirely through your app store account.
Care Team lets you invite a dietitian or doctor by email. They get a read-only view of your logs, trends, and symptom patterns, and can leave timestamped feedback that appears in your app. It's a paid add-on — you subscribe from the Care Team section in the app.
The community forum lets you share progress, tips, and questions with other TrueTrack AI users. Posts are anonymous — we generate a consistent handle for you, so your identity stays private while thread coherence is maintained across posts and comments.
